A Message for Ryan Reynolds 2.1

I think a lot of people think that jokes are inherently without harm. I told a comedian once that, “you can make a joke that makes the world a worse place.” I think that truth is self evident. The orientation/perceptions of the joke teller could come from a bad place. Like a bully in school that has an abusive father at home and thinks pushing others down is funny… A stand up comedian abroad could have an unhealthy situation they came up in/work in as well. It might go unnoticed to that comedian that their jokes harm others because they don’t have contrast between the healthy and unhealthy practices around them. Hopefully the comedian would get feedback that would push them into a more healthy orientation, rather than that comedian spreading unhealthy practices.

Have you ever seen the movie “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”? Do you remember the weasel that laughed his self into the gallon drum full of chemicals that killed him? I am concerned that if Hollywood continues to degrade the morality of America we are going to laugh more and more at evil things, ending up like that weasel… Isn’t that wickedness? Laughing at evil/immorality.

I think you can present crappy things to people in ways that get them excited about crap… Timeshare is a good example of that. You can sell someone something that they will wish they never had. Regret… A joke can make a person regret they ever laughed at it…

There are an infinite amount of healthy jokes that can be made. Stay out of timeshare big fella.

Special Note: Do you have the contrast in your life to vet your comedy for human health? I have taken a lot of different roads in the world my friend… If you are looking for Love and benevolence you are looking for Jesus Christ… He got it right. You can’t find Love/Truth/Benevolence apart from what he was doing, he is all over it.

P.S. I like Ryan Reynolds. I think he is kind-hearted and very intelligent. I appreciate that I got to grow up with all these great comedians like him and Joe Rogan, Dave Chappelle, Joey Diaz, Adam Sandler, Kat Williams, Whitney Cummings, Burt Kreischer, Bill Burr, Sarah Silverman, and so many others I can’t list them all… Bill Murray, Rodney Dangerfield, Chevy Chase, Dan Aykroyd… Thank you guys! I feel certain that the goal of comedy is to make the world a better place because it seems the goal of so many of you. That’s the art of it I hope.
