HIS EASTER MESSAGE 2014. There is one BIG question everybody needs to ask themselves about Jesus Christ. IT IS NOT did He exist, did He have 12 disciples, was He crucified, did He live around year 0. (I believe from -6 BC to 27 AD) These are the wrong questions because they are decided events by historians on both sides of the argument. (video below) THE ONLY QUESTION IS, IS HE WHO HE SAID HE WAS??? You either believe that or you do not. In my studies of JFK/911/Federal Reserve, one of the strongest bits of evidence I look for is how people REACTED to certain events. Including people like the Warren Commission, 911 Commission, or other surrounding people as well. I always ask this question… The disciples were around Jesus about 1000 days… Don’t you think they had formed an opinion of whether He was the Messiah or not by the time of Easter year 27?? Before they followed Jesus to their own deaths, do you not think they saw the pain he endured being nailed to a cross for hours and hours before he died? It was not quick and easy lethal injection. It was a ridiculous, torturous, painful death. They must have known if they were to follow in His footsteps the same was likely coming for them. They were told as much by the authorities before they started preaching the Gospel in the book of Acts. Their choice to follow Jesus in light of this kind of opposition is not the same as slipping something in the cool aid. Because of this choice in the Apostles lives, I think it is wise not to write off Christianity as some form of a cult. It is more like the Apostles went to war so people knew something they really needed to know. Ten or Eleven of the Twelve Apostles were killed in a violent (sometimes torturous) manner and they were told/threatened with such. The Apostle John was the definite exception, but I think even he was boiled alive at one point. So, here is a pertinent question, would you get yourself tortuously executed over a known lie???? NO ABSOLUTELY NOT. Did you know one of the Apostles (Simon Peter) asked to be crucified upside down because he said he was unworthy do die in the same manner as his savior? Ask yourself what that man believed and why. The Apostles letters show that they felt like one of their greatest rewards will be seeing you and me prosper for their sacrifice. In one aspect, Jesus and The Apostles went through all of that, so others (us) knew what Love is. They walked with Jesus and were told (by the same people that killed Jesus) they would eventually get the same, horrid execution if they continued to preach his gospel. If you knew for certain that you would be in paradise forever; that would have led them to do what they were called to do. If you believed in the prosperity your actions would help produce; that would have led them to do what they were called to do. If you saw the miracle(s) they had seen; that would have led them to do what they were called to do. All that hinged on them believing Jesus to be the savior of mankind. In their accounts they are straight forward about their struggles. I deal with odds all the time and I’ll tell you how the Apostles acted is overwhelming evidence of Jesus being the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. The Savior of mankind. Where The Apostle’s reaction to Jesus should lead you is: “That’s strong evidence for Jesus being the Messiah (Savior).” “I need to learn all about what is happening here.”
The Validity of the Apostles writings have been investigated by forensic detectives (cold case workers) for truth/accuracy. Cold case workers use a scientific method to evaluate the truthfulness of eye witness accounts. He was an Atheist when he started his examination(s) of the gospel of Christ using the cold case scientific method. Like Rev Billy Graham noted in his TED talk, link in “My Testimony” section of this website, this is another scientist that reached the pinnacle of his field/scientific discipline and found God because of the perspective. If anyone ever tells you to PROVE God’s existence… you can pull your phone out and stick this website in their face. Pastor Hagin has a story about an encounter with a man that was genuinely upset about having proof of God/Heaven from the pastor. Pastor Hagin handled the situation with prayer, but, I assume that if he had a mobile phone with internet he would have just given them this website and said “Here it is, about eight different proofs.” Sharing this website with someone is a great idea! Pastor Kenneth E Hagin notes that if our adversary can, he will jam an individual up financially. There is a God of this world called Satan. Our adversary has definitely interfered in my finances. I have witnesses who have seen the physical attacks. Being physically attacked by something invisible “limits your ability to earn money,” and I would be working a job that brings home triple what I make now if it were safe for me to do so.
